Typically, before writing a script, you write a creative treatment. Film treatments can be quite elaborate but basically what you want to do is "dream" the video. Then write your description in about one page. This treatment may, of course, change during the scripting and production process.

Other components which can be prepared before the actual script include the shot list and the narration.

Please note the script must be written in a two column format - left column for video and right column for audio.
